Fishing boats bobbing in the chilly waters of Scituate Harbor, Massachusetts, January 2014
Very nice and Sharp picture❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That's my very little Canon S100, an utterly superb camera. It's just a little bigger than my fossil Casio Exsilim. Thank you for the comment and Favorite!
This will be an adventure! ....I guess
My friend was showing me some of the beauties of his native state. It was 15 degrees Fahrenheit. The air was VERY clear. Thank you for the input and praise.
I think I took a similar photo of another frozen harbor a little ways down the coast closer to Plymouth, several years ago.
The Bay State can be a very beautiful place, indeed.
Boston/New England is one of my favorite places to visit, partly because it is close to my home in New Jersey. History, scenery, trains, architecture...
It takes a while to travel there from Manhattan, I found.
I can get from my home to the western suburbs of Boston in about 5 hours driving time via the Tappen Zee bridge and Hartford, IF I go off peak and don't get stuck behind accidents or 'iron snails.'
'Iron snails...' What a lovely phrase! I am honored that you so liked this photograph.
One incident that sticks in my mind was when I had made a delivery on W 96th St in Manhattan and was heading down 11th Ave to the Lincoln Tunnel. Soon after I made my turn I passed some guy wearing green shorts, backpack and in line skates. I made good (by NYC standards) speed for a while but got stuck in SLOW traffic about 10 blocks from the tunnel. I was still a few blocks from the tunnel when that same guy skated past me again! I sometimes think a real snail might make better speed in some of these traffic jams!
